The teacher training institution was started to meet precise need that is to train primary teachers for the elementary school & higher primary schools of Karnataka state. 

B.I.T.T. Davangere is a Teacher Training Institute and one of the best Teacher Training Institution in this district. It was established in 2004, the main purpose of starting this institution is to meet a precise need to train primary teachers for the elementary and higher primary schools in our Karnataka state. This idea was conceived and made in to more effective by our Honorable Secretary Sri Shamanur Shivashankarappa. His leadership, insights and foresights always influence every one. He is also the Governing body member of our institution from 2004 till today. Sri A.C.Jayanna, he our governing body chairman, his excellence and leadership is more useful to our institution and Sri S.Rajasekhara, is the Principal from the academic year 2004. Our college campus is having B.Ed., M.Ed., B.P.Ed., and Research centre in education Chairman of our Institution, all these courses are run by self financing mode.

Motto & Emblem of our college indicates light and enlight the student teachers who are expected to become lights to illuminate the world and dispel all kinds of darkness around us.
Our emblem and name Bapuji symbolizes the truth, knowledge and simple life and also need of Education that to basic education with spiritual, moral, social and human values. Talking about the infrastructure we have a beautiful campus with well built building with all kinds of basic needs. We have well equipped psychology laboratory, language laboratory, computer laboratory and a big library with more than Eighteen thousand volumes related to education and all types of news papers, journals, magazines general as well as education related. 

And about the staff we have well qualified and dynamic teaching staff who works hard for the betterment of every individual student and a co-operative non-teaching staff.
